Babysitting Training

  • Full Session In-Person:  (up to 6 1/2 hours)

To provide youth who are planning to babysit with the knowledge and skills necessary to safely and responsibly give care for children and infants. This training will help participants to develop leadership skills; learn how to develop a babysitting business, keep themselves and others safe and help children behave; and learn about basic childcare and basic first aid. The recommended age for this course is 11 years old and older. Class times includes a lunch break. Please bring lunch with you. Participants receive a certification, upon successful completion.

Breathing new life into resuscitation education, Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) is designed to train professionals to respond to cardiac and breathing emergencies for adult, child, and infant victims. Consistent with the 2015 AHA Guidelines for CPR/ECC, BLS is the foundational CPR/AED program typically required for healthcare providers and public safety professionals. Through the use of lecture, skills demonstration and practice, case-based emergency response scenarios, and reflection and debriefing activities with a focus on team-based response, BLS builds the key critical thinking, problem solving, and team dynamic skills that are needed to drive better patient outcomes. Upon successful completion of the course, learners will receive a 2-year “Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers” digital certificate with anytime, anywhere access to certificate and training history.

Adult First Aid/CPR/AED

    The Adult First Aid/CPR/AED course incorporates the latest science and teaches students to recognize and care for a variety of first aid emergencies such as burns, cuts, scrapes, sudden illnesses, head, neck, back injuries, heat and cold emergencies and how to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies for victims about 12 years and older. Successful students will receive a certificate for Adult First Aid/CPR/AED valid for two years. Please dress comfortable as skills are performed on the floor.

    Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED

    This course will prepare you to recognize and care for a variety of first aid, breathing, and cardiac emergencies involving adults, children and infants and meets OSHA/workplace requirements. The online portion of this blended course features award-winning simulation learning – an interactive experience where you will respond to real-world emergencies in a virtual setting – which will prepare you for the instructor-led classroom skill session. The online portion must be completed prior to attending the in-class portion and must be taken on a Flash-enabled PC with a high speed Internet connection. Allow 2 hours 45 minutes to complete the online portion if you are new to First Aid/CPR/AED training or 55 minutes if you have previously received certification. Upon successful completion of this course you will receive a digital certificate for Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED valid for two years.

    El curso de primeros auxilios, RCP y DEA pediátricos y para adultos en español incorpora la ciencia más reciente y cumple con las normas de la OSHA. Los participantes aprenden a reconocer y atender diversas emergencias de primeros auxilios en adultos, niños y bebés, como quemaduras, cortaduras y raspaduras, enfermedades repentinas, lesiones en la cabeza, el cuello y la espalda, y emergencias relacionadas con el calor y el frío. Incluye las formas de dar RCP para adultos y RCP pediátrica, asistir a alguienque se atraganta, reconocer y atender otras emergencias cardíacas y respiratorias, así como la atención de una persona que sufre un paro cardíaco repentino mediante el uso seguro de un desfibrilador externo automatizado (DEA). Este curso se dicta en idioma español.     Anaphylaxis and Epinephrine Auto

    This course will teach you the signs and symptoms of anaphylaxis and how to care for a person having a severe allergic reaction, including how to administer epinephrine using an auto-injector device. The course, which includes video, activities that reinforce key information and a learning assessment, will take approximately 30 minutes to complete. Upon registration, you will receive an email with information on how you can request a free EpiPen® (epinephrine) Auto-Injector training device. Not optimized for Google Chrome browsers.

    First Aid

    BLS – Instructor-Led Training
    The BLS Instructor-led course teaches both single-rescuer and team basic life support skills for application in both prehospital and in-facility environments, with a focus on High-Quality CPR and team dynamics.

    The BLS Healthcare Provider Course teaches the skills of CPR for victims of all ages (including ventilation with a barrier device, a bag-valve-mask device, and oxygen), use of an AED, and relief of a Foreign Body Airway Obstruction. The course is designed for healthcare providers who care for patients in a wide variety of settings, both in and out of hospital.

    Audience

    Healthcare providers such as physicians, nurse, paramedics, EMTs, respiratory therapist, physical and occupational therapist, physician assistants, residents, fellows, or medical or nursing student; aides; medical or nursing assistants; and other allied health personnel.

    Objectives

    At the conclusion of this course, participants should be able to:

    • Demonstrate on a manikin the current sequences and techniques for CPR
    • Use of an Automated Defibrillator
    • Relief of foreign body airway obstruction for adult, child, and infant victims

    Helpful things to know when planning:

    • Training flexibility:

      • Full Session Face-to-Face – This option offers 100% of the learning experiences in the presence of a certified Instructor. This in-person session offers award winning learning.
      • Blended Learning – This option blends the learning by providing both an award winning In-Person Skills Session AND an exceptional online learning experience through simulation and carefully planned video lessons.
        • SAVE TIME in the Classroom: The diligence of the Blended Learning allows the student to spend less than half of the time in the classroom than they would in the Full Session. This session was voted convenient, fun & informative. It saves time away from your busy schedule.
        • CONVENIENCE: The online portion is completed at the participants own pace. The participant can stop and start the online learning as often as needed without losing their completed work.
        • REQUIREMENTS: Completion of all sections of the ONLINE session (there are up to 3 sections in the online simulation training – don’t skip any) is required prior to gaining access to the In-Person Skills Session. Proof of completion of the online portion, “the RECORD of COMPLETION” which is received at the end of the online session is required as the admission PASS to the In-Person Skills Session. Successful completion of both portions, the online and In-Person Skills Session is required to obtain certification.

          • Manikins, supplies, training material, audio/sound, visuals, DVD player/projector are supplied by Dynamic Services LLC.
    • Instructor availability:

      • We have multiple Instructors and can arrange multiple classes simultaneously.
      • The sooner you register, the sooner your Instructor is secured.
    • Offsite Training Requirements:

      • Groups who anticipate 5 or more participants
      • Cancellation/Rescheduling:  Less than 3 participants enrolled/registered/confirmed
      • Prior to start of class, please forward a roster to include participants full name (first/last/suffix), email and phone number. This information will be used to register the certification.
      • The offsite training is not confirmed until you receive an email confirmation, confirming training date, time and cost.
    • Class Ratio:

      • Ratio of 1:12 – One Instructor, per twelve participants
    • Travel Fee:

      • Travel Fee for local travel inside the immediate MD-DC-VA metro area is FREE. Trainings’ outside the DC metro area may incur a Travel Fee.
      • Travel outside of the immediate MD-DC-VA metro area is $10 per trip, plus per diem per day/night, per Instructor to include mileage/fuel, tolls, parking, lodging, flights, train, bus, etc…. (Detailed written Agreement, accommodations and payments required in advance)
    • Successful Completion:

      • Successful Completion means the participant is engaged, exhibits knowledge and understanding and participants throughout the entire learning experience. Attendance of the entire training is required. The participant also participates in all sections of the learning. The Instructor not only engages the learner but is also able to assess the learning throughout the In-Person Skills Session.
    • Refunds & Cancellations

      • Cancellation is due in writing no later than 24 hours prior to the start of class (A written contract/P.O. may have different terms) .
      • Trainings may be rescheduled. Dynamic Services LLC will work to satisfy each customer. In the event no terms are agreeable – refunds are issued within 48 hours.
      • Blended Learning courses are non-refundable. Receipt of the online LINK delivers access to course material. The In-Person Skills Session may be scheduled anytime at no additional cost (provided the class is scheduled while the course selection is applicable/eligible for certification/has not expired or renewed).
      • If an Instructor has traveled to the training site – the minimum fee for 3 participants is due/billable/non-refundable. Cancellation is due in writing no later than 24 hours prior to the start of class to avoid this minimum fee. If the class was paid in advance, and the cancellation was not received as laid out here the cost for 3 participants, remains billable/due/non-refundable.
